Young Shakespeare Performance

A troupe of actors came to Combe School today, bringing with them 15th century France and the court of Henry V. With only our school hall and four actors, they brought to life Shakespeare’s entire play: a coronation, the English court, a pub, a ship’s voyage to France and the entire Battle of Agincourt! There was music and imagination. All the children got involved with the themes of friendship, loyalty and betrayal, playing a huge range of parts, some of them even learning lines. The entire production was accessible, engaging, vibrant and hilarious! The theatre company were truly the life and soul of the party and a fantastic time was had by all of Key Stage 2.
