Swallows Class went on a brilliant trip to The Living Rainforest where we took part in their Amazing Adaptations tour. Despite the sweltering humidity, (no one is planning to move to a rainforest any time soon!) the children had an absolutely fantastic time. We were very pleased to spot the slumbering sloth and everyone loved both the toucan and the armadillo. They sketched pictures of their favourite animals and plants and came back on the bus bubbling with new knowledge and facts. We were all astonished to learn that emerald tree boas do not, in fact, lay eggs and that poisoned dart frogs are only poisonous if they ingest poison.
