Year 5/6 go to Blenheim

Despite the terrible rain, Swallows Class had a fantastic time at Blenheim Palace as part of our local history topic. They were challenged by the WWII-inspired code-cracking, managing to decode the clues and break into the safe to collect the treasure! Everyone loved the tour of the palace and had brilliant questions to ask about the Churchill family and the artefacts inside the house. After lunch, we explored the exhibition about Winston Churchill. Behaviour was exemplary and the children were really engaged in the topic.
