Year 3/4- Greek Day

On Monday 18th September, we had a Greek Day, where the children in Pheasant’s Class were able to meet a real Spartan warrior. The children got to ask our Spartan warrior a variety of questions and even try on some of his armour! Everyone participated incredibly throughout the discussion, asking well thought out questions.

The spartan warrior taught us all how to create a spartan beaded bracelet and the children were even able to take these home. To end the day, we reinacted a Spartan battle as Spartan warriors and everyone had their own shield and sword. Finally, we were able to meet the Historian behind the Spartan helmet. This allowed the children to ask any further questions about life in Sparta and what it meant to be a Spartan warrior.
