At last. The day that every Year 2 has been waiting for for 9 months finally arrived. Mrs Legge’s Hill End Sleepover. Seventeen super excited children joined myself and Miss Horner for our adventure. The steep walk up to our dormitory was worth it for the stunning views. Luckily the rain held off as we settled in, enjoyed a delicious barbecue tea and an exploring adventure with our guide, Sean. This was followed by campfire building and toasted marshmallows. Anyone for s’mores? Yes please!
What fun to spend the night with our friends! Once the children had settled, they slept well, and staff were serenaded out of their slumber by beautiful singing. Our only wish was that it could have been later than 6.30am. Followed a leisurely breakfast our new guide, Rachel took us on a forest explorers adventure. Deb building… fire lighting… which was your favourite? An enjoyable experience for all. No tears (& that’s just the adults) and the children were a treat to have.
