World Book Day

What a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day at Combe Primary School! All pupils were invited to attend school dressed as a book character. In Kingfishers Class we utilised this first- hand characters in drama and writing descriptions. Other book related activities were enjoyed across the school.

Did you listen to the World Book Day song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpTkjssrL4k  It was fabulous. We rocked along to it in worship, followed by an opportunity for the children to parade and show off their inspiring and creative costumes!

It was an absolute pleasure to host a book share event across the school. Children in Kingfishers enjoyed listening to stories told by Swallows, whilst Red Kites enjoyed being entertained by Pheasants. This was such a valuable experience that was a positive end to a great day.
