Swallows Class absolutely adored their poetry workshop with poet Kate Wakeling. We investigated the poetic potential of the garden pea, dived into famous paintings to create prose poems and performed what we wrote. The children gave brilliant and thoughtful feedback to one another. They insisted that she read lots of her poems, which created plenty of laughs too! A brilliant and creative morning.
