The school council had a visit from Martin from Dolce, the company who provide our school lunches. Whilst sampling fruit, the children learnt some interesting fruit facts, such as:
- Bananas float! This is because they are 75% water.
- The country which produces the most raspberries is Russia.
- Pineapples take two years to grow.
- The first mango was grown in India over 3000 years ago.
After the food tasting session, the children told Martin about what they liked about school lunches and the ideas they had for how they could be improved. Thank you Martin for visiting!
