On Tuesday 11th February we celebrated Safer Internet Day.
- Red Kites read the eBook “Smartie the Penguin” and discussed it. The children then made a picture or poster to take home.
- Kingfisher Class watched Digi-Penguin and investigated age-restricted websites, suitable websites and pop-ups. The children made posters.
- Pheasants Class explored identity online. The children identified the usernames they use online, favourite things to do online and profile pictures. They then discussed keeping safe online and ‘being kind’.
- Swallows Class explored the hashtag and what it means. They are creating posters to reflect the ideas discussed. They also watched a video about this year’s theme ‘Together For a Better Internet’. They looked at different scenarios and decided how they should react.
