This week Reception enjoyed the many wonders of the small world at The Story Museum. This was a fantastic opportunity to fire up the imagination with fabulous props and costumes to be found in fabulous settings such as a super-sized cosy bed, space room, kitchen, construction area and double decker bus!
After listening to a story about how stars are made, Red Kites really enjoyed working in groups to create their own planets from various materials given to them. They confidently named and presented their planets to the whole class.
Afterwards we ambled along to Christchurch meadow for a delicious lunch and run around. A perfect end to the most enjoyable school trip.
