Pheasants Class visit the Ashmolean

On Monday 16th October, Pheasants Class visited the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, to consolidate our learning about the Ancient Greeks. To start our day, we were able to walk around two different galleries which focused on Ancient Greek statues and Greek Pottery. The children enjoyed exploring both galleries through a variety of activities such as locating different objects and recording them through drawings. At the end, we were even given real artifacts from Ancient Greece to examine in small groups. All the children worked incredibly well together to analyse what the artifact was and its purpose. Finally, we spent the rest of our visit exploring the other galleries in the Ashmolean Museum and learnt even more about the Ancient Greeks.
