We were pleased to see the sun shining on the afternoon of Friday 28th April as we celebrated (a slightly early) May Day.
The whole school processed along Church Walk, led by Margot, the May Queen, in her carriage and Olie, the May King. Upon arrival at the village green, the crowing took place followed by singing and dancing by all children. We are always amazed at the maypole dancing talent of our pupils, particularly as they reach Year 5 and 6 and create double plaits and spiders webs. Well done to all children and staff!
Thank you to all parents for donating flowers and to the talented parents who arranged them so skilfully on the May Day carriage. Thank you to FoCS for arranging refreshments afterwards.
