After an early finish to the Spring Term, Red Kites Class have impressed me with the way they have settled into their home learning.

Our Big Question this term is “Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, do you?”

As part of our Geography, we will be looking at the human and physical features of the seaside whilst our history focus will see us investigating what the seaside used to be like in the past. In science, we will be looking at the different plants and animals in coastal habitats.

This topic allows us to be particularly creative too…look out for Seaside Dioramas, a Seaside in a Bottle and even seaside art inspired by L.S Lowry!

All our learning will be uploaded onto Google Classroom each week. Geraldine the Giraffe will be there to help with our phonics and spellings can be practised on Readiwriter.

We will continue to keep in contact with the children via Google Hangout Meets each week; Mrs Gilford, Mrs McKechnie, Mrs Martin and myself always enjoy seeing and catching up with everyone.

Thank you to all the parents who are doing such a wonderful job in supporting the children with their learning. We are all looking forward to having your children back…we miss them!
