The archery taster session was great fun. The children quickly achieved success learning how to load the arrow into the bow and aim at the target (arrows had sucker caps on so no sharp points!) After individual practice they had a competition with their partner to see who could score the highest points on the target. Darren, the sports coach then showed the children how to aim whilst further away from their target board using ‘power’. The session was completed after aiming at a different target, which was a bit like a jig-saw, adding points from a small number of shots. Such an exciting opportunity!
