Year 3 and 4 enjoyed a day of African Drumming with Richard from World Beats Music. They developed an understanding of the history of African drumming and learnt that drumming can be a form of communication. They finished the day with a performance to some of their parents and the rest of the school, which included ‘caller and response’ rhythms, solo performances and improvisation.
